Alexa Chung’s Diet Plan
Alexa says that she loses weight when she gets stressed. Her mother is very caring and always questions her about her eating
patterns. Alexa likes to have almond croissants or egg Florentine in breakfast. She has lost a lot of weight which she contributes to
her very busy schedule and hard work. Alexa drinks a lot of coffee. She is a strict vegetarian and does not eat any kind of meat
including red meat. She does not like the food that is served at the television studios. In the break time she likes to have cupcake and
muesli. Alexa also likes green tea. The drink improves her immune system and also aids her metabolism process.

It is important for all the models and actresses to follow a strict diet regimen in terms of the calorie content. This is so because more
calories lead to more fat deposition in the body. The sugar that the food items contain gets directly converted to fat (around 40% of it).
Therefore most of models eat little or no sugar. Since the models conduct daily workouts and exercises, there body requires lots of
proteins for the muscle building process. Because Alexa Chung is vegetarian, she might be depending on milk and other vegetarian
sources of proteins. Green leafy vegetables are an ideal source of vitamins and minerals. They also have high fiber content. They can
provide all the essential vitamins like Vitamin A, B etc. to Chung. Fruits and vegetables are another source of nutrients for vegetarians.
They also have omega 3 fatty acids which delay the cell ageing process. Vegetarians are known to have lean bodies. Therefore Alexa’
s skinny and lean figure can be attributed to her eating habits.

Workouts
Because of the hectic schedule Alexa is not able to do many exercises and workouts these days. In earlier times she had undergone
lots of workouts. The workouts of models like Alexa Chung include cardiovascular exercises, running, sprinting, stair running, Pilates,
and other exercises. These exercises are aimed at reducing the fat content of body and working of the joints like shoulders, knee,
wrists etc. They also improve the stamina and cardio vascular strength. The workout differs on each day of the week so that
exercises do not get monotonous and all the body parts get worked and exercised.

Foods to Eat
Use organic fruits and vegetables as they have less pollutants and chemicals. Organic food also has a higher nutritional content than
non-organic commercialized produce.

Basically your diet should mostly consist of juiced, raw, frozen, or lightly steamed fruits and veggies. Corn should be avoided, white
potatoes can be eaten only in moderation. Eating a variation each day will ensure you are getting enough vitamins and keep this diet
as interesting as possible.

Foods to Avoid
Here is a brief list of foods to avoid while on this plan. To get the full detoxifying effects, stick to the diet and be sure that you don't
cheat!

Dairy and animal products
Bread, pasta, grains, cereal
Chocolate
Nuts
Sauces
Pickled vegetables or canned fruit
Alcohol and cigarettes
Coffee and tea (except green and herbal)

Meal Plans
Breakfast
Variations of fruit or fruit puree are great for breakfast. They are nutritious, filling and the natural sugars will give you energy to get
through the morning.

To make a fruit puree, cut up your fruit and place in a pot on the stove with a small amount of water. Cover and leave it on a low heat
until the fruit is soft. Now just throw it in the blender and add a squeeze of fresh lemon to taste. I also like to add a little cinnamon.

My favorite blends contain apples, plums, nectarines, pears and berries, but really anything goes. You can also mix it up a bit by using
your blender to achieve different consistencies.

Lunch & Dinner
For your main two meals its important to keep calories low but nutrition high. A vegetable puree soup is the answer. This will give you
energy to get through the day and all the nutrients you need.

Cut up your vegetables, add approximately one cup of vegetable stock, and cover on a low heat until the vegetables are soft. Now
throw it in the blender and spice it up with a raw clove of garlic or jalapeño pepper (only a little as it's very spicy!). I also like to add
cilantro and a little olive oil.

I like to experiment with different vegetables for this soup. Great ideas are spinach and broccoli, collard greens, zucchini, onion,
carrots and sweet potatoes. Beans also make a great addition. I like to use chickpeas but be sure they are organic.

Desserts & Snacks
This diet can sometimes leave you feeling hungry (it wouldn't be a diet if it didn't!), so its important to have some filling snacks around
for when you need a boost.

Fruit smoothies are a great options for dessert or a snack between meals. You need to buy packs of frozen organic fruits from your
supermarket. These lock all the goodness into the fruit and are very convenient. I actually find that frozen bananas taste much better
in a smoothie than fresh ones so I peel ripe bananas and put them in a Ziploc bag in the freezer.

Just add ice and a little water, then blend away! I like blends of blueberries, strawberries, blackberries and banana. Its really up to you
to find a few combinations that you love. Be creative!

Freshly squeezed juices are very detoxifying and a great way to get some condensed nutrition into your body. Fresh juice is also
packed full of enzymes which are fundamental in maintaining good health and preventing disease.

Some ideas for recipes - try playing around with these super-healthy ingredients. Cucumbers, apples, carrot, ginger, garlic, beet and
broccoli.

Don't forget to drink Green Tea. This is so effective as a diet aid because it increases your metabolism and reduces your appetite. It
has also been used for more than 4000 years in Chinese medicine, to cure ailments ranging from headaches to depression.



CALORIE RESTRICTION DIETING..
As a model I've tried each and every one of the diets covered on this website through the years, but calorie restriction diet has
become my favorite. I love the way that it has enabled me to permanently formulate a lifestyle around low calorie, high volume healthy
natural foods.
Calorie Restriction: Basics
Foundation
Reducing calories to lose weight - a scientific formula based on plenty of research studies and sound evidence.

"Less Calories In = Less Weight On"

Scientists estimate that 1lb of fat is equivalent to 3500 calories. By creating a deficit each day of 500 in your calorie expenditure, you
should see a one pound weight loss each week. This is the recommended amount for safe and sustainable dieting.

In addition to reducing your calorie intake, burn another 250-500 a day through exercise and you can lose 1/2-1 pounds more per
week. Muscle is very metabolically active, with a higher calorie expenditure than fat. In fact, building or maintaining muscle will make
a considerable difference to your body's metabolism and fat storage.

Calorie restriction has been shown to improve health, reduce aging, reduce blood pressure and have a host of other benefits! You see,
overeating puts stress on your body by making your organs work harder. Over a lifetime the cumulative stress of years of big meals
can really take a toll on your body. Use calorie restriction for a healthy, slim, and well functioning body free from illness.
Just count the calories and eat less of everything! There's no real restriction on the types of food you eat, but just remember to keep
watching those calories!

A calorie restricted diet comprises mainly of fruits, vegetables and low-calorie proteins. This controls calorie consumption, ensures
nutrition and hydrates the body.

Models need sufficient protein to maintain healthy skin, hair and nails. Good low-calorie sources of protein are beans, chicken or
turkey (without the skin), water-packed tuna, steamed/baked fish, egg whites, low fat yogurt and milk.It takes a while to learn the
calorific content of foods, but its well worth it. Ask any model how many calories there are in a meal and he/she will tell you. Just by
knowing this, you will actually find yourself turning down high calorie foods without even thinking about it.

If you need to fill up but are restricting calories, here are some of my favorite snacks:

Low calorie Jell-O
Thin crisps with sliced banana
Protein bars (Zone and Luna bars - great chocolate substitutes!)
Popcorn
Bowl of cherries
Low-calorie yogurt or pudding cup

By putting an emphasis on high volume, low calorie foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and low calorie meats such as
poultry and seafood, this diet is nutrient rich.
The diet is easy to understand, and there is little restriction on the types of food you can eat.
Calorie restriction is a light diet that doesn't overburden your digestive system - you won't feel over-full and sluggish.
If you do end up cheating with a high-calorie junk food snack, that's fine. Just be sure to restrict your calories for the rest of the day.
