Whether we want to do it for a class reunion, an impending
date, or simply out of the desire to look better, nearly all of us
have tried to shed ten pounds at one time or another. We
want the weight to come off as quickly as possible.

the glorious promises to “Lose a dress or pants size by this
weekend!” But, as anyone who’s ever tried this knows,

skinny. Break out a tiny little outfit and lose enough weight to

baggy on you. Eat loads of vegetables and fruit to fill
yourself up during every meal.

Devour anything that helps you lose weight, for example,

Some people may enter a juice fast as a way to address some disease
condition. Others may use a fast in order to detoxify their body or to lose
weight. For whatever reason you may chose to juice fast, one dramatic
element is the immediate and dramatic loss of stored body fat.
This has multiple health benefits.
Much of the toxins stored in our body are in our body fat. Metabolizing the fat
forces the toxins into the blood stream where the body processes them to be
eliminated. This elimination is not entirely done through the alimentary canal

Causes: The chief cause of obesity, most often, is
overeating - i.e., the intake of calories beyond the
body’s energy requirement. Some people are habituated to
eating too much while others may be in
the habit of consuming high-calorie foods. These people
gain weight continuously as they fail to
adjust their appetite to reduce energy requirements. There
has, in recent times, been an increase in
awareness of psychological aspects of obesity. Persons
who are generally bored, unhappy, lonely, or
unloved, those who are discontented with their families, or
social or financial standing usually tend to
overeat as eating is a pleasure and solace to them.
Obesity is sometimes also the result of disturbances of the
thyroid or pituitary glands. But glandular
disorders account for only about 2% of the total incidence of
obesity. In such persons, the basal
metabolism rate is low and they keep gaining weight unless
they take a low-calorie diet.
Treatment: A suitably planned course of dietetic treatment,
in conjunction with suitable exercise and
other measures for promoting elimination is the only
scientific way of dealing with obesity. The chief
consideration in this treatment should be the balanced
selection of foods which provide the maximum
essential nutrients with the least number of calories.
|FRUIT FAST CHALLENGE
-Distilled water is best for water fasting,
please do not use tap water!
-Juice made with fresh, organic fruits is best for juice
fasting, especially if they are fresh squeezed.
-Do not drink orange or tomato juice on a fast, these
kinds of juices are to acidic to the stomach.
-You can dilute your pure juices with water
if you want to lose more weight.
-Green juices made from leafy green veggies in a
juicer are great for detoxifying (check out my links for
the cheapest diet products I could find.
-Pure veggie broths are good and beef or chicken for
the first couple of days before a full fast is good to
start off with.-Herbal teas and honey can aid in fasting
but be careful when using your honey… go light.
-Typical fasts (going totally without any solid foods)
usually are performed as 3 days with an on and off
type of method. Fasting for 7-14 days, should be
supervised. Fasting should be done on and off to

-Break a fast by eating soft foods such as baby foods,
heavy protein drinks, yogurts, soups, and raw fruits
and veggies the first five-seven days after your fast.

|The Best Leg Workouts For Women To Get Slim & Toned Legs Without Making Them Big & Bulky
For most guys, we want broad shoulders, defined arms and full pecs. Women, on the other hand, tend to focus
more attention on their hips, legs and thighs. The best leg workouts for women to get lean legs that look firm and
toned (while not being big and bulky) need to be structured and setup differently than the way most guys lift.
Often I’ll hear someone trying to say that a woman can lift weights like a man but get totally different results. I
agree, our bodies are different, but they are not that different. In my opinion, the best leg workouts (for women) are
not ones that concentrate on putting on size or adding a ton of muscle.
They should concentrate on the shape and tone of the muscle.
The common advice given to women is that they won’t gain muscle like a man
will because they don’t have the same amount of testosterone.
True, but not true…
Men have more testosterone. However, when a woman works out her legs they can get larger. Women can build
muscle! This doesn’t mean that all leg workouts for women are going to make your legs bigger and/or bulkier
though. While having a decent amount of muscle is a good thing, having too much muscle and bulky man-legs is
not. A woman’s body should look quite a bit different than a man’s and
there is no exception when it comes to her legs.
In order to get slim and toned legs you’ve got to work your muscles accordingly. I’ve found that the best way to
get a muscle to tone up without increasing it’s size is by doing strength training. I know that this may sound
bizarre at first, but let me explain. As I’ve talked about in one of my posts on how to get good muscle definition,
the theory that lifting high reps and light weight will make you toned is not true.
Lifting with high repetitions creates a pump in your muscles. You should not train for the pump if you want small,
toned and hard muscles. So while you may be used to thinking the burn or pump is a good thing … it’s not if you
don’t want your muscle to look larger. Training for the pump brings on muscle growth known as sarcoplasmic
hypertrophy, which means that you are filling your muscles with fluid (sarcoplasm).
This fluid makes your muscles large and soft looking. Instead, leg workouts for women should aim to increase the
strength of the actual muscle fibers which will give your legs a harder look …
without drastically increasing the size of the muscle.
When it comes down to it, good, old-fashioned hard work is the key ingredient in building yourself a fabulous,
strong pair of legs. The following exercises are designed to help you reach that goal quickly and efficiently. They
utilize a great deal of balance and stability, forcing your legs—and entire body—to work much harder than many
typical exercises, thereby delivering superior results... Oh and please do not think that you do not have to put
